About this care
KDV Weidum It Pertoer is a small-scale daycare centre in the heart of Weidum, located at Bumaleane 1. We provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. As part of Kids First Childcare North Netherlands, we comply with national quality standards and have been registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 September 2011. Our centre is integrated into the Integral Child Centre (IKC) Weidum, ensuring seamless cooperation with primary school It Pertoer and the toddler care facility. Summary
On 8 June 2026, the Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced incidental inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Weidum It Pertoer in Weidum. The inspection took place in the context of an upcoming change of holder: as of 1 August 2026, Kinderwoud Kinderopvang B.V. will take over the location from Kids First Kinderopvang Noord-Nederland B.V. The name will then change to Kinderwoud Weidum. The daycare center provides care for 16 children aged 2–4 years in one core group, on Monday and Thursday mornings. A bilingual policy is implemented and subsidised early childhood education is offered. The location is housed in primary school 'It Pertoer'.
