About this care
Daycare It Flinterke is located in a quiet area in Mantgum, at Om'e Terp 23. We are part of Kids First and provide care for children aged 0 to 4. Loving attention and a sense of security are central to our approach. We give children space to develop, but above all we encourage them to play and simply be children. That's what they're allowed to be with us.
We follow a bilingual policy. Both Dutch and Frisian are given focused attention. We adhere to the guidelines of the certificate "boartsjendewei in taal derby" and receive support from the Sintrum Frysktalige Berne-opvang (SFBO). This makes us a certified bilingual location.
Parents can choose between full-day or half-day care. The center is open on weekdays from 07:00 – 12:45 and from 12:45 – 18:30. We tailor our care to the needs of each child and provide a safe, familiar environment. GGD Fryslân conducted an unannounced incidental inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Mantgum It Flinterke in Mantgum on 22 June 2026. The location, part of Kids First Kinderopvang, wishes to expand from 16 to 32 childcare places by starting an additional toddler group (ages 2–4). The inspection focused on the suitability of the premises and compliance with quality requirements for this expansion.
