About this care
Welcome to Kinderopvang Wytgaard De Lytse Twirre, our small-scale childcare centre at Tjissema 6 and 8 in beautiful Wytgaard. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang Friesland and provide loving care for children aged 0 to 13. Our location consists of two spaces: the BSO combined with the toddler group is housed in the school, and the childcare for 0-4 year olds is located in the village hall De Twirre.
Children aged 0-4 stay together in one group, which offers several advantages: brothers and sisters can stay together, there is no group change when crossing an age threshold, younger children learn from older children, and older children learn to consider younger ones. Babies have a maximum of two fixed pedagogical staff members, creating familiarity and stability. We are a certified bilingual toddler and childcare centre (Frisian and Dutch) and focus heavily on language activities to optimally stimulate bilingual development.
We offer pre-school education (VE) using the Uk en Puk methodology and ensure continuity with the school. Our opening hours are: Daycare Monday to Friday from 7:15 to 18:15. Parents are always welcome to drop by for a visit; you will find us at Tjissema 6 and 8, 9089 BG Wytgaard.Read more

This was an annual inspection for a combined group daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) and after-school care (BSO) for a maximum of 15 children (ages 0-13). The location meets all inspected statutory quality requirements. No areas for improvement or violations were identified. The pedagogical climate, staffing levels, safety policy and accommodation all comply. The early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) with the Uk and Puk program also meets the requirements. The advice to the municipality of Leeuwarden is: no enforcement.
