About this care
Zowiezo Childcare at Kokkel 10 in Noord-Scharwoude provides after-school care (BSO) for primary school children. Our BSO is part of Kinderopvang ZoWieZo Alkmaar BV, a professional childcare organization that has been active in the region for over 17.5 years.
At our location on Kokkel 10, we provide care for up to 22-30 children. As a BSO, we specifically focus on children aged 4 to 12 who already attend primary school. We provide care during times when parents are working or studying, picking up children from school and offering a safe, familiar environment where they can play, relax and learn new things.
Our team of pedagogical staff is ready to guide children in their development and fill their free time after school in a meaningful way. We work from an involved, flexible and affordable approach, where the well-being and development of each child is central.

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 4 December 2025 at after-school care (BSO) Zowiezo Kinderopvang in Noord-Scharwoude. The childcare center provides after-school care (buitenschoolse opvang/BSO) for 30 children aged 4 to 13 years. All assessed areas meet statutory requirements. The pedagogical policy is complete and is being implemented correctly. Staff provide emotional safety, encourage independence, and involve children in group activities. All staff hold the required diplomas, meet the IKK language requirement, and are correctly registered in the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang/PRK). The pedagogical policy staff member is deployed sufficiently and coaches the team annually. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
