After-school care (BSO) Piekenhoef in Berghem, part of AVEM Kinderopvang, was inspected by GGD Hart voor Brabant on 1 December 2025. The location provides care for 70 children aged 4 to 13 years in three base groups. All assessed quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health have been fully met. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The pedagogical practice shows sensitive responsiveness, as illustrated during a conversation with a child experiencing difficulties at school. The safety policy is current and was recently tightened following an incident (fall on stairs), for which measures have been implemented. All staff are properly registered in the childcare personnel register.
