About this care
Welcome to BSO De Elfenboom, our cheerful after-school care centre at Willandstraat 7 in the heart of Berghem. Housed in the local scouting building, we offer a cosy group room plus a huge outdoor area where children can run, romp and explore. Location manager Saskia and her warm, enthusiastic team are ready every school day to collect children aged 4 to 12 from Molenveld, Fonkeling 1st stream and Fonkeling 2nd stream. Wearing high-visibility vests for safety, we escort them on foot, by bike or taxi to our site.
No two days are the same. We cook and bake healthy snacks, head out to the playground, petting farm, library or a museum, and organise varied sports and games. Children choose what they want to do: crafts, a board game, join an activity or simply play outside. Through the Partou app we keep parents updated so they can see their child is having a great afternoon.

After-school care (BSO) De Elfenboom in Berghem, part of Smallsteps B.V., was inspected on 22 January 2026 by GGD Hart voor Brabant. The location provides care for a maximum of 20 children aged 4 to 13 years in one base group. The annual inspection showed that the location meets all assessed quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff and groups, accommodation, and parental rights.
