Peuteropvang De Vlinder in Velsen-Noord offers toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 years and is part of Zoople Velsen. The location is housed in a building at Heirweg 2, together with primary school De Plataan, after-school care BSO De Boomhut, community centre 'De Stek' and the child health centre. De Vlinder has two spacious rooms in cheerful colours for two toddler groups: Rups and Bloem.
We work with the VVE programme Startblokken, focused on language stimulation and a smooth start at primary school. The parent involvement programme VVE thuis is also offered, with regular parent meetings. Peuteropvang De Vlinder is an official BoekStart location in collaboration with Library Velsen; a reading corner is available on site and regular reading activities are organised for toddlers and parents.
