About this care
Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf IKKIE, located in one of the oldest streets of Berkel en Rodenrijs at Vogelaarstraat 13-15. We are a small-scale daycare center where children from six weeks to four years are cared for in a homely and safe environment. Our warm and professional team is ready to give each child the personal attention they deserve.
At IKKIE, we find rest, regularity and cleanliness very important. We create an environment where children feel safe and secure, so they can develop optimally. Due to our small scale, we can really pay attention to each child and properly follow the parenting wishes of parents.
Our care is aimed at letting children discover and develop through play. We work with fixed pedagogical staff who build a warm relationship with the children. The groups are composed of children of different ages, allowing younger children to learn from older children and older children learn to take younger children into account.

The daycare for 38 children (0-4 years) with four core groups meets requirements on almost all points examined. The pedagogical practice is good: staff act sensitively and responsively, there are clear rituals and the children feel emotionally safe. Personnel matters, safety policy and parental rights are also in order. However, one violation was identified regarding accommodation: toddler group Oranje uses two separate spaces (1.3 and 1.4) for one core group, while each core group must have one fixed group room. In addition, part of a corridor/hallway was wrongly counted as play space. The holder disagrees with this and refers to 16 years of approvals and a recent fire inspection. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality to enforce.
