Summary

GGD inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Op de Step in Purmerend on 24 July 2025. The location provides care for a maximum of 48 children aged 0 to 4 years. The pedagogical climate meets the quality requirements: the pedagogical policy is worked out in detail and the practice provides a calm, safe and trusted environment. Sufficient attention is given to emotional safety and children's development. Shortcomings were identified in the area of staffing and groups. The staff-to-child ratio was not always met on the day of inspection, particularly in the Otje group where an settling-in child was counted without sufficient supervision being present. A child was also temporarily moved to another group in order to meet the ratio, which is not permitted. These actions constitute violations of the Childcare Act. The operator submitted a response stating that the child's relocation was carefully considered and took place with parental consent. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality to enforce in accordance with the enforcement policy.
