The annual unannounced inspection by GGD Zaanstreek-Waterland on 6 July 2026 shows that daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Wheermolen in Purmerend fully complies with all quality requirements of the Childcare Act. The inspection assessed the pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and accommodation. All components were assessed positively without any remarks. The KDV is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Purmerend and is located in primary school Wheermolen as an Integral Child Center. There are three core groups for ages 0-4: one baby group and two vertical groups. The pedagogical practice shows that staff members interact with children in a sensitive and responsive manner, with attention to emotional safety, personal and social competencies, and norms and values. The accommodation has sufficient indoor and outdoor space, including separate sleeping areas for babies. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The advice to the Municipal Executive is: no enforcement.
