About this care
Welcome to De Kleine Krijger, our small-scale day-care centre located on the grounds of Pancratius primary school in Brummen. We provide care for up to twelve children aged 0 to 4 years within one vertical group that can be split by a low gate when needed. This set-up keeps the atmosphere homely and familiar, allowing our qualified pedagogical staff to give every child the individual attention they deserve.
Our core values are warmth, flexibility and cooperation. We believe every child is unique and entitled to a safe yet challenging environment. Thanks to our deliberately small scale we can respond quickly to individual wishes and developmental needs. The centre is open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 07:15 to 18:15. During school holidays and study days care is available by arrangement, using either of Kinderopvang Malin’s two locations.
De Kleine Krijger is part of Kinderopvang Malin, founded in 2014 by Marlies Aarnoudse and Linda Stevens. Their many years of experience in childcare translate into a clear vision: offering children a trusted home-away-from-home where self-development and interaction are central. Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Kleine Krijger in Brummen, part of Kinderopvang Malin B.V., was inspected unannounced on 3 September 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Noord- en Oost-Gelderland. The location provides care for 14 children aged 0-4 years in a unit on the grounds of primary school St. Pancratius. In the mornings, daycare center (KDV) and after-school care (BSO) children (4-7 years) form a mixed group. All assessed quality requirements in the domains of pedagogical climate and staff and groups are being met. The pedagogical practice shows a warm, home-like atmosphere with sensitive staff who playfully challenge children. Staff hold the correct qualifications, Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) checks, and language proficiency level 3F. The staff-to-child ratio is in order, partly due to additional deployment during illness. No violations or points for improvement were identified. The operator responded with delight to the positive report. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
