Summary

Municipal Health Service (GGD) Noord- en Oost-Gelderland conducted an unannounced inspection of daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) BuitenGewoon at Voorsterweg 125 in Brummen on 21 August 2025. The daycare center offers Christian-inspired childcare with extensive outdoor play for up to 40 children aged 0–4 years. The pedagogical policy and daily practice score well: children experience emotional safety, are challenged in developmentally appropriate ways, and learn social and moral skills. There was one violation: a childcare professional without a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and registration in the Childcare Personnel Register was deployed. The VOG has since been renewed and the registration completed, so the violation has been remedied. Additionally, a signed guidance plan for a childcare professional in training was missing; this plan was subsequently submitted on 15 October 2025 following a recovery offer. The location now complies with all legal requirements. The municipality of Brummen is advised not to take enforcement action.
