About this care
Kinderopvang Malin at Meengatstraat 25A in Brummen offers small-scale childcare in one vertical group of up to 12 children (0-4 years) and out-of-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 13 years. The facility is located in a new school building with a large group room, diaper-changing area, toilets, sleeping room and kitchen. Adjacent to the room is a secure outdoor play area that is easily accessible and visible from the group.
Our pedagogical policy focuses on the four competencies outlined in the Childcare Act: emotional security, personal competence, social competence, and the transmission of values and norms. We believe in observing and listening carefully to children and involving them in decision-making. Every child is unique, with their own needs and abilities, and deserves respect for who they are.

Summary
GGD Noord- en Oost-Gelderland conducted an unannounced follow-up inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Malin in Brummen on 4 June 2026. This inspection followed shortcomings identified during the annual inspection of 4 March 2026 in the area of safety and health. The location provides care for a maximum of 14 children aged 0–4 years. Problems had previously been identified: the safety and health policy was incomplete and not up to date, no valid first aid certificates were present (expired on 2 October 2025), and a refrigerator thermometer was missing. During this follow-up inspection, it was established that the provider has remedied all shortcomings. The policy is now complete and up to date, all staff members hold valid first aid certificates until 11 March 2027, and a thermometer has been placed in the refrigerator. The provider meets all statutory requirements.
