About this care
Welcome to Kinderopvang Zonnepret Daycare, located at Rolklaverpad 21-23 in Almere Kruidenwijk. We are a small-scale daycare centre where a maximum of 16 children aged 0 to 4 are cared for in one vertical group. Our intentionally small size allows us to offer a homely and personal atmosphere in which every child is more than just a number.
Our pedagogical goal is clear: children develop into balanced individuals who recognise and use their own talents. We create situations and plan activities that strengthen children’s self-confidence. They learn to respect themselves, others and their environment, and to stand up for themselves. Of course, they also receive a healthy dose of affection and love.
Safety and development are our top priorities. We work with enthusiastic, qualified staff who provide a safe, calm and cosy environment every day. Our site is next to OBS Digitalis and within walking distance of OBS De Heliotroop and Almere Language Centre. We pay close attention to healthy food, drink and exercise, and we love to play outside. Practical info
Settling in
At Zonnepret, we always have a settling-in period of approximately three half-days before your child officially starts. We begin with an introductory meeting, followed by three settling-in days: day 1 with a parent present, day 2 with the parent away for a few hours, and day 3 a full day without parents. This gives your child the chance to slowly get used to the new environment.

Summary
Kinderopvang Zonnepret in Almere was visited unannounced on 10 August 2026 for the annual inspection. The daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) cares for 16 children in a vertical group. The inspection assessed the pedagogical climate and staff and groups. The atmosphere was cheerful and relaxed; children felt emotionally safe and staff responded sensitively and responsively. All assessed requirements are being met this year. In previous years (2024 and 2025), recovery offers were issued for policy shortcomings (complaints procedure, safe sleeping protocol, deployment of staff in training), all of which were resolved in a timely manner. No new violations or areas for improvement have been identified.
