About this care
Voorschool Muis is a small-scale preschool facility operated by Kinderopvang Kiekeboe, located within primary school Digitalis in the Kruidenwijk district of Almere. We provide care for children aged 2 to 4 years in a safe, home-like environment. Our location accommodates a maximum of 16 children, allowing us to give each child personal attention.
We use the VVE program 'Startblokken', specifically designed to stimulate young children's development and provide excellent preparation for primary school. Our experienced pedagogical staff offer a rich variety of activities focused on language development, social skills, and independence.
Voorschool Muis is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM and on Fridays from 8:30 AM to 12:15 PM during school weeks. We work closely with primary school Digitalis to ensure a smooth transition to primary education. Parents can register their children from age 2.

Summary
Kinderopvang Kiekeboe – Voorschool Muis (daycare center/kinderdagverblijf/KDV) provides early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) for up to 16 children aged 2–4 years in Almere. During the unannounced annual inspection visit on 14 October 2025, it was found that the location meets all statutory requirements following a recovery offer. There was one violation: a staff member did not hold the required language proficiency level 3F for Reading. This shortcoming has since been resolved; the staff member obtained the certificate on 13 November 2025. The pedagogical practice appears positive: children experience emotional security, there is a clear daily routine, and the VE programme Piramide is being implemented well. Parents are actively involved in their child's development. Observations were made regarding the lack of concrete agreements in the policy on substantive alignment with primary school and on the evaluation of the training plan. The municipality has been advised not to enforce.
