About this care
Welcome to Kindercentrum Champion at Saffraanplein 32 in Almere Stad. We are a small-scale daycare centre caring for a maximum of 10 children per day, allowing us to give every baby and toddler the personal attention they deserve. Our homely premises combine a safe indoor space with a spacious garden full of outdoor play opportunities.
Everything we do revolves around a structured, challenging and stimulating environment. We work with horizontal groups: the youngest children (0-2 years) play and sleep separately from the toddlers (2-4 years). Each group has at least two regular childcare professionals, so there is always a familiar face on hand. The children sleep in separate bedrooms with cots and beds; those who enjoy it can also take a nap outside in the fresh air in our prams.
We serve a warm, healthy meal daily at around 11:30 am and provide fresh fruit and drinks in between. For children with a food allergy we adjust the menu in consultation with parents. Nappies, wipes and formula can be brought from home; we provide a quiet place for feeding and changing.
Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 19:00. Half-days are possible and we offer a pick-up and drop-off service to and from home on request. Summary
Kindercentrum Champion in Almere provides daycare for a maximum of 10 children aged 0-4 years in a single group. During the unannounced inspection on 31 July 2025, the location was found to comply with all statutory requirements. The pedagogical policy is implemented well: children learn from one another through mixed-age activities, and considerable attention is paid to care and development. All staff are correctly registered in the PRK, hold appropriate diplomas, infant first aid certification, and meet the language requirement. The staff-to-child ratio is in order and there is always a first aider present. The safety and health policy is up-to-date and adhered to; evacuation drills have been conducted and the domestic violence reporting code is known to the team. Parents are well informed via the website and Konnect, there is an active parent committee, and a complaints procedure is in place. No complaints were received in 2024. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.

Deze opvang is een van de slechtste opvang die ik ooit heb gezien, ze brengen de kinderen te laat en halen te kinderen laat op, hun rooster is helema...
Het zal ongetwijfeld een goede kinderopvang zijn, maar de buitenspeelplaats is extreem klein. Kinderen kunnen hier amper leuk buiten spelen.
