About this care
Voorschool De Wereldburger is located in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, Osdorp, and is designed for curious toddlers aged 2 to 4. Children play and learn naturally in a safe, small-scale group setting. Our daily routine focuses on language development, early maths and language games, arts and crafts, singing and reading aloud. Each child receives the individual attention they need from our qualified pedagogical staff to develop at their own pace. We start every morning together with a shared fruit moment and end the day with a quiet corner or a story. The outdoor play area invites exploration and movement, and whenever the weather allows, we spend plenty of time outside. Parents can opt for morning or afternoon sessions to suit family life. VVE de Wereldburger is an early childhood education facility (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) located within De Wereldburger primary school in Amsterdam. On 8 April 2025, the Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an annual unannounced inspection. The location provides early childhood education for 4 half-days per week to a maximum of 16 children aged 2-4 years using the Piramide programme. The inspection identified one violation: a temporary agency worker had insufficient listening language proficiency for early childhood education. Following a recovery offer, this worker was replaced by a qualified substitute and is no longer deployed for early childhood education. The location otherwise meets all statutory requirements.
