About this care
Welcome to Kekt, our after-school care center located at Buys Ballotsingel 108A in Schiedam. As part of KomKids, we have been providing trusted and professional after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 since 2005.
Our location on Buys Ballotsingel accommodates up to 53 children. We are open every weekday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, allowing parents flexible childcare options around school hours.
As an after-school care facility, we focus entirely on supporting school-aged children. Our qualified pedagogical staff provide a safe and stimulating environment where children can relax after a day at school. We offer both rest and structure, while also providing ample space for play and relaxation.
Children can join us for before-school care, after-school care, and holiday care. We collaborate with schools in the immediate Schiedam area to ensure a smooth transition from school to childcare.

Summary
BSO Kekt on Buys Ballotsingel in Schiedam provides after-school care (BSO) for up to 53 children aged 4-13. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 14 January 2025. All assessed quality requirements are now in order: the pedagogical policy is clear and complete, the pedagogical practice appears safe and stimulating, staff are properly qualified and registered, group composition and occupancy meet regulatory requirements, and the safety and health policy (paediatric first aid/kinder-EHBO, domestic violence reporting code, mandatory reporting/consultation/filing obligations) is in order. Last year the safety and health policy was not yet complete; this shortcoming has now been resolved. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The municipality of Schiedam is advised not to take enforcement action.
