About this care
BSO Het Nest is located in the gymnasium of primary school De Vaert at van Heeswijkstraat 55 in Kaatsheuvel. We provide after-school care for children in grades 1 to 4 (approximately 4 to 8 years old). Our pedagogical staff collect children from grades 1 and 2 from their classrooms, while children from grades 3 and 4 walk to the gym independently.
Every afternoon we transform the spacious gym into a cosy after-school area. Using mobile furniture we create play corners where children can do crafts, read or play together. The centre of the hall remains free for movement and sports activities.
Outdoors we make full use of De Vaert's generous schoolyard and the playground of De Bosvaert, ensuring there is always space to run, cycle or play tag. We have room for 26 children and are open Monday through Thursday. On Fridays the children are welcomed at BSO De Boomhut.

BSO Het Nest in Kaatsheuvel, part of Stichting Kinderopvang Midden Brabant, underwent an unannounced annual inspection by GGD Hart voor Brabant on 23 March 2026. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates 50 children aged 4 to 13, divided across three base groups, and is housed in basisschool De Vaert. The inspection assessed the pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and accommodation. The provider meets the statutory quality requirements in all areas. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. Staff act in accordance with the pedagogical policy, the staff-to-child ratio is correct, and the premises meet all requirements. The advice to the municipality of Loon op Zand is: no enforcement action.
