About this care
Warskippers is located in and next to the Jozef and Maria primary school in the rural village of Spierdijk. We provide after-school care (BSO) for up to 22 children aged 4 to 12. Thanks to our unique location within the school building, the transition from school to after-school care is smooth and familiar.
We work closely with the Jozef and Maria school. This close collaboration ensures that children do not need to travel and can come straight to us after school. Our pedagogical staff are ready to welcome the children with a warm greeting and a varied program of activities.
Our BSO focuses on relaxation, play and development after a school day. We offer quiet corners for homework support and creative spaces where children can do crafts, build or play games. We also make use of the school facilities such as the playroom and outdoor area, so children can move around and release their energy.

Summary
GGD Hollands Noorden conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 23 June 2025 at after-school care (BSO) Warskippers in Spierdijk, part of Stichting Kinderopvang West-Friesland. The location provides care for 22 children aged 4 to 13 years in a shared group room at primary school Jozef en Mariaschool. The inspection included interviews with staff, observations and document reviews in the areas of pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and parental rights. All assessed requirements have been met. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The holder does not have a parent committee but has organised an alternative parent consultation, which is permitted for a maximum of 50 childcare places. The advice to the municipality of Koggenland is: no enforcement action.
