About this care
Vrije Kids II is a small-scale daycare centre located at Javastraat 114H in Amsterdam East. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4. Our approach is warm and inclusive: we see every child as a unique individual and let children freely follow their own developmental path. Our pedagogical staff are caring and professional.
We work according to the vision of Loris Malaguzzi (Reggio Emilia) where children can express themselves through a hundred languages. The hourly rate is € 13.04 and is all-inclusive: baby formula, hot meals, fresh fruit, healthy snacks, drinks and nappies are all provided. We follow the advice of the Nutrition Centre and work with fresh, natural products.
The centre is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. We offer various activities such as music (MEMO), yoga, library visits, toddler gym and creative activities. Parents stay informed via the Bitcare Parent App, where they can follow activities and photos and chat with the teachers. Practical info
Settling in
At Vrije Kids, we believe a good settling-in period is essential. We work with a three-day settling-in schedule: an intake conversation with the mentor, followed by a first settling-in day of 1 hour, a second settling-in day of 1.5 hours, and a third settling-in day of 2.5 hours. Parents are welcome to stay for the first 15 minutes. The schedule can be adjusted in consultation to meet the needs of the child and parents. The settling-in period takes place after signing the placement agreement.
