About this care
Vrije Kids is a small-scale daycare centre located at Javastraat 110 H in the heart of Amsterdam-Oost. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a safe, familiar and homely environment. Our name says it all: freedom is central. We believe in freedom of developmental opportunities, where every child is given the space to grow at their own pace.
Our pedagogical staff are ready with warm care and personal attention. We work with small groups so that we can really take time for each child. Every day we offer fun and educational activities tailored to the age and developmental stage of the children. Think of crafts, reading aloud, singing and games that stimulate language development and creativity.
We provide fresh, hot meals and healthy snacks. Nappies and baby food are also included in the hourly rate of €12.31. We take into account the rest times of the very youngest and have separate sleeping areas where children can sleep in peace and quiet.

Practical info
Settling in
Settling in at Vrije Kids begins with an intake conversation with the mentor. This is followed by three settling-in days: the first settling-in day lasts 1 hour (10:00-11:00), the second settling-in day 1.5 hours (10:00-11:30), and the third settling-in day a half day (9:30-12:00). Parents may stay for the first 15 minutes. The schedule can be adapted to the needs of the child and parents. Settling-in sessions take place after signing the placement agreement.
