Strengths

Summary

This inspection report concerns a registration investigation of childminder/host parent care (gastouderopvang) Zandman in Den Ham, conducted by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Twente. The care takes place in the requesting parent's home via childminder agency (gastouderbureau) Koos, for a maximum of six children aged 0 to 12 years. The inspection took place before childcare commenced. Although the childminder holds the required diplomas and has a pedagogical work plan, issues were identified with the risk assessment for safety and health. Identified problems include an incomplete risk assessment (swimming pool not mentioned), a trampoline without a safety net under a tree, damaged play equipment, and cleaning supplies stored at too low a height. The childminder agency has committed to resolving these issues before childcare begins. The childminder is also insufficiently aware of the new mandatory pedagogical coaching requirement effective 1 July 2026. Nevertheless, the inspector concludes that responsible childcare can reasonably be expected, partly due to the commitments made by the childminder agency.
