Topkids Ontdekkings BSO Maartensdijk is located inside the Martin Luther Kingschool at Nachtegaallaan 38, Maartensdijk. We provide a familiar and safe place for children aged 4 to 12 to relax and learn after school. Because we are situated within the school building, children feel at home quickly and the transition from school to after-school care is seamless.
Every month we introduce a new theme, offering a varied programme of creative, sporty and challenging workshops and excursions. We collaborate with the neighbouring petting zoo, local sports club SVM and Double Sports, allowing children to explore nature and stay active in a playful way. Our activities are tailored to the talents and interests of the children; nothing is mandatory, but almost everything is possible.
Our BSO has room for 59 children, divided into three horizontal base groups: Young (age 4), Middle (ages 5-7) and Old (ages 7-12). This ensures each child receives challenges appropriate to their age and development. Before-school care is available from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m.; after school we are open daily until 6:30 p.m. We pick children up from school and, if needed, drop them off at home.

Summary
Topkids BSO Maartensdijk, an after-school care (BSO) for 59 children (ages 4-12) in Maartensdijk, was inspected on 3 March 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Utrecht region. The follow-up investigation was prompted by a previously identified violation and an imposed administrative fine order by the municipality of De Bilt. The location does not comply with legislation and regulations on two points: cooperation and compliance, and the Childcare Personnel Register. Eight temporary staff members started work without the correct linkage in the Personnel Register. This constitutes a repeat offense; similar violations were previously identified in 2025. The operator completed the linkages immediately after identification and established new procedures, but the violation had not yet been remedied at the time of inspection. The GGD advises enforcement.
