Improvements needed
Inspection date: June 25, 2026
Strengths
- The pedagogical policy is concrete and provides sufficient guidance for implementation
- The safety and health policy is complete, up-to-date, and meets requirements
- Sufficient indoor and outdoor play space (well above the legal minimum)
- VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct) verification of the operator is in order
- Parents have been well informed about the relocation
- The complaints procedure meets requirements and the operator is affiliated with the Childcare Disputes Committee (Geschillencommissie Kinderopvang)
Shortcomings
- The work plan of Groep De Regenboog can be further clarified by formally announcing the mentor to the child and parents, specifying intern supervision, and further detailing the transition to primary school
Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected POV Hillenraedt in Roermond on 25 June 2026, a temporary toddler care location for two toddler groups (32 places) due to school renovation. The childcare will start on 27 July 2026 in a former school building. Because the renovation was still ongoing, some practical aspects could not be assessed; these will follow at the next inspection. The operator (Stichting Kinderopvang Roermond) demonstrated sufficiently that operation will be in accordance with the law. No violations were identified. The pedagogical policy, safety policy, and accommodation requirements are met. One point of attention is the further specification of the work plan of Groep De Regenboog, but this does not constitute a shortcoming. The GGD advises inclusion in the National Childcare Register.
