Summary

GGD Limburg-Noord conducted an unannounced incidental inspection of daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Kids Castle in Roermond on 30 April 2026. The licence holder wished to double the number of childcare places from 32 to 64 due to available space following the relocation of the after-school care (BSO) and temporary accommodation of another daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV). No physical on-site inspection took place. The initial application contained insufficient documentation: the floor plan did not clearly show space usage and the pedagogical work plan lacked a concrete description of hallway use. Following a recovery offer, the licence holder submitted adjusted floor plans and an updated pedagogical plan. The spaces now comply with statutory requirements, including 3.5 m² indoor play space per child and ample outdoor play space (592 m²). The increase is approved.
