About this care
Blij Begin is a daycare center located in the heart of Roermond at Kasteel Wassenbergstraat 2. We provide professional childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a homely and secure environment. Our facility accommodates up to 40 children and has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) since 2010. As part of Stichting Kinderopvang Roermond, we ensure quality and dedicated care.
At Blij Begin, we believe in the power of early childhood education (VE). Our pedagogical staff offer development-focused activities tailored to the world of young children. We work in small, vertical groups where children of different ages play and learn together. This not only stimulates social development but also creates a warm, family-like atmosphere.

Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Blij Begin in Roermond was inspected unannounced by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) on 12 May 2025. The annual review assessed the pedagogical climate and personnel policy. The location meets all legal requirements: the pedagogical policy is clear and consistently implemented, children experience emotional safety, there is a rich offering of early childhood education (VE), and all staff members are properly qualified and registered. No violations or shortcomings were identified. As everything is in order, the GGD did not need to issue a recovery offer and advises the municipal executive board to take no enforcement action.
