About this care
The daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) of Boerderij de Zonnestraal is located on a real farm at Uiterdijkenweg 32 in Luttelgeest. The daycare center has a small-scale character and consists of three groups: a baby group, a toddler group and a preschool/toddler care group. This allows us to work child-centered and give children the attention and space they need.
We are affiliated with VAK (Verenigde Agrarische Kinderopvang). The VAK approach is based on a respectful, individual and positive approach to children, parents and staff. The childcare workers offer an optimal and safe nurturing environment, with child-centered practice at the core. The child can develop at their own pace and in their own way.
Our farm is an arable farm with, among other things, potato cultivation. In addition, we have 2 ponies, 2 sheep, chickens, cats and rabbits. We are regularly outside to observe and experience everything that grows and blooms on the farm. Children learn about nature and animals through play.
