About this care
Peuteropvang Onze Wereld is located right inside primary school Onze Wereld at Cornelis Danckertsstraat 34 in Rotterdam. We share all facilities with the school and have our own secure outdoor area next to the playground. Toddlers feel at home immediately: everything is tailored to their size and, when the time comes, the move to the kindergarten classes is seamless because they already know the teachers and their future classmates.
A morning with us is a morning of learning through play. We work in small, same-age groups so every child receives the attention they deserve. Our gro-up pedagogical staff create a warm, safe environment where toddlers learn to make their own choices. Children can paint independently at the easels, explore in the reading corner or build with our inviting play and discovery shelves. A helping hand is always nearby for those who need it.
During play we focus on language and early maths. We sing songs, count blocks, name colours and seasons and practise new words, all perfectly matched to a toddler’s world. We regularly take short trips in the neighbourhood and use our own garden to explore nature. Fruit and drinks are included and we naturally accommodate allergies.

Summary
Peuteropvang Onze Wereld in Rotterdam, part of gro-up Kinderopvang B.V., was inspected on 4 June 2026 by the GGD Rotterdam-Rijnmond (Municipal Health Service). The annual inspection involved an unannounced visit during which the pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, accommodation, and parental rights were assessed. All assessed quality requirements were found to be in order. The pedagogical practice is rated positively: staff interact with children in a sensitive and responsive manner, the group room is well furnished, and the early childhood education program Uk & Puk is implemented correctly. The location provides care for 16 toddlers (ages 2–4) in two part-day groups. One point of attention is that the childcare center is registered for 16 places but has only 54m² of indoor play space, sufficient for a maximum of 15 children. The location manager has indicated an intention to submit a change request to reduce the number of places to 15. Previous violations regarding the duty to report, consult, and notify have been resolved; at the previous annual inspection on 23 January 2025, this topic was again found not to be in order, for which the municipality issued a warning. At the inspection on 17 June 2024, a recovery offer was made that was successfully utilized.
