Summary
Toddler care (peuteropvang) De Kleine Piloot in Rotterdam, part of gro-up Kinderopvang B.V., was inspected on 13 January 2026. The location provides toddler care with early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VVE) for 14 children (ages 2-4), housed within De Kleine Prins primary school. All assessed quality requirements were found to be in order: pedagogical policy and practice, early childhood education, staff and groups, safety and health, and parental rights. The pedagogical practice was observed to be sensitive, responsive and focused on cooperation between children. The early childhood education follows the Montessori vision with the Uk & Puk program. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. A previous in-depth investigation into a violation from 2025 (space requirements) showed that this was no longer present. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality of Rotterdam not to apply enforcement.
