About this care
Located right in the Garenkokerskwartier in the heart of Haarlem, BSO De Argonauten forms an integrated child centre together with the day-care centre and IKC De Argonauten. Since 1 March 2019 we provide after-school care for up to 88 children aged 4 to 12.
Our focus is on discovering new things, having fun and doing activities together. We inspire children by letting their creativity run free so they can truly blossom. We are active, playful and cheerful ourselves, and we take every child seriously. Loving care is the foundation of everything we do.
Every child has a personal mentor. This professional knows your child well, offers individual attention and is ready for a shared meal, reading a book together, a fun activity or simply a listening ear. At the same time the mentor keeps you fully informed about your child’s day.
As part of the integrated child centre we work in one team with the school. The IPC themes taught at school also appear at the BSO – in a playful, relaxed way, because free time is sacred to us. We are open every school day from 14.15 to 18.30; during study days and school holidays we welcome children all day from 7.30 to 18.30.Read more

The overall assessment is positive: most assessed quality requirements are met.
