About this care
Welcome to Kinderwoud Oeps, located in the Coornhert State nursing home at Vogelwijk 20 in Heerenveen. OEPS stands for Ouderen En Peuters Samen (Elderly and Toddlers Together). This unique daycare center (KDV) for children aged 0 to 4 years brings babies, crawlers and toddlers into daily contact with the residents of the nursing home. We have a baby group (Groep Ot) and a toddler group (Groep Sien).
What makes this location special are the regular intergenerational activities. Sometimes we visit the elderly residents, or they come to visit us. The little ones bring liveliness to the nursing home, and the drop-off and pick-up of children by parents also creates a cozy atmosphere.
In the inner garden of Coornhert State, we have created a safe, green outdoor play area where children can play and discover to their heart's content.
Our pedagogical professionals work from Kinderwoud's four pillars: learning through play, movement, music and healthy nutrition. These pillars are integrated into daily activities and stimulate children's brain development.Read more
