About this care
Welcome to Partou Westendorp! Our daycare centre is located in the heart of Amsterdam Nieuw-West, inside the Fiep Westendorp community school building at Overschiestraat 168D. We have four cosy groups: baby group Pom (0-2 years), baby group Pim (0-2 years), vertical group Zaza (0-4 years) and VE preschool group Dollie (2-4 years). Our location manager Tahir Blanken and the team provide a warm, safe environment where children can be themselves.
Every day is outdoor play day! Children can climb and explore in our natural garden. Indoors we enjoy a healthy, warm lunch and have time for crafts using autumn leaves from our own garden. On the VE group we use the Uk&Puk 2.0 programme, which prepares children for primary school through play. We also offer weekly yoga lessons and music activities every three weeks via MeMo.
We keep parents informed through the Partou parent app, where we share photos, messages and daily updates. Our location is part of the Peaceful School programme, focusing on positive social interaction. Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection report of 20 February 2026 concerns a follow-up investigation into daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Westendorp in Amsterdam, conducted in response to an earlier violation. The annual inspection of 5 August 2025 had revealed that insufficient VVE-qualified staff members had been deployed. The municipality issued an order on 21 November 2025. The current investigation shows that, although sufficient qualified staff are now present, structural safeguards are lacking. There is no written procedure for checking qualifications of temporary agency staff, meaning it cannot be guaranteed that the violation will not be repeated. The GGD advises that enforcement proceedings be continued.
