About this care
Welcome to VVE Fiep Westendorp, our preschool in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. We are here for curious toddlers aged 2 to 4 years. Through play, your child gets all the space to develop together with peers from the neighborhood in a familiar environment.
At our preschool, we work with the Preschool and Early Education (VVE) program Peuterplein. This learning program is tailored to your child's age and interests. The learning program and approach of the preschool connect with those of groups 1 and 2 in primary education. Through themes and professional guidance, we prepare your child for a smooth transition to primary school.
There is a wide range of challenging activities. In the learning program, playing, discovering, and moving are central. There is much attention for language development, arithmetic, reading aloud, drawing, listening, singing, and moving. Both indoors and outdoors. This way, your child will go to primary school with confidence and well-prepared!
We work with horizontal groups, where children of the same age are together in a group. This allows us to work specifically on the development of this particular age group.Read more

Summary
VVE Fiep Westendorp is an early childhood education (VVE) location in Amsterdam for children aged 2 to 4, housed within primary school Fiep Westendorp. During the annual inspection on 22 June 2026, one violation was identified: the pedagogical work plan contained incorrect descriptions regarding the number of core groups, opening hours, team size, and staff schedule that did not match reality. Following a recovery offer, the holder submitted a revised work plan in which all details have been correctly recorded. The violation has thereby been resolved. The location otherwise meets all quality requirements. The pedagogical climate is positive: staff create a calm, safe atmosphere, stimulate language and social skills, and work with the Uk & Puk VVE programme. The accommodation has recently been renovated and the partnership with the primary school is functioning well.
