About this care
At Kinderopvang De Koeienwei, located on the farm Het Lansingerland at Hoeksekade 146a in Bergschenhoek, we provide after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 12. Our BSO is part of a unique location where children can come after school in a homely, farm-like environment. We pick up the children from school and welcome them in a cozy space where they first receive a snack. Then they decide for themselves what they want to do.
Our farm offers plenty of space to play and discover. Children can take care of the animals, play in the garden or help with small chores around the farm. We work with vertical grouping, where children of different ages play and learn together. This stimulates social development and creates a warm, homely atmosphere.
The location is small-scale and personal, allowing us to respond well to the individual needs of each child. We believe it is important that children can develop freely and choose for themselves what they want to do. Whether they prefer to play outside, do crafts or just sit quietly with a book, anything is possible at De Koeienwei.Read more
GGD Inspection
Violations
Inspection date: May 26, 2026
Strengths
- Pedagogical practice is positive: staff respond sensitively and responsively to children
- Good emotional safety; children are comforted and guided through distress
- Staff show personal involvement and maintain contact with the entire group
- Pedagogical policy is extensive and described in concrete terms
- Qualification requirements, staff-child ratios and personnel register are in order
- Complaints procedure is properly documented and provider is registered with the Childcare Disputes Committee (Geschillencommissie Kinderopvang)
Violations
- Deployment of pedagogical policy staff: the provider had not formally distributed the calculated number of hours in writing across the various childcare centers, making it unclear how many hours were available per location
Summary
Kinderopvang de Koeienwei (BSO), an after-school care (BSO) facility in Bergschenhoek and part of Boerderij Het Lansingerland, was inspected unannounced on 26 May 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Rotterdam-Rijnmond. This was an annual inspection. The location provides after-school care for 34 children aged 4 to 13 years, divided into four base groups. Outdoor play and farm life are central themes. The pedagogical practice was assessed positively: staff respond sensitively to children, provide emotional safety and stimulate development. The pedagogical policy, qualification requirements, staff-child ratios, personnel register and complaints procedure were also in order. There was one violation: the provider had not formally distributed the mandatory hours of the pedagogical policy staff member in writing across the three childcare centers. Following a recovery offer, the provider corrected this with a new coaching plan. The GGD advises the municipality of Lansingerland to take no enforcement action.
