About this care

AI
BSO Okidoki is located at Stampioendreef 1 in Bergschenhoek and is part of De Droomplaats childcare services. Our small-scale after-school care welcomes up to 30 children aged 4–13. We have close partnerships with CBS De Ackers, OBS Groenehoek and RKBS Willibrord; children from these schools are collected directly after class. Every afternoon starts with a shared fruit and drink moment. Children then decide for themselves whether to join an activity or play freely. We use the “wheel of 5 activities”: creative (painting, drawing, crafts), technology (scroll-saw work, building, Lego), sports & games, cooking/baking, and nature. Each week our BSO minibus takes us to playgrounds such as Floddertje, Plaswijckpark or De Kievit. During school holidays we run a new themed programme packed with excursions; the oldest children even enjoy an overnight camp. Outdoor play and movement are central to our day. Our large garden offers challenging play equipment and space to run, cycle, climb and clamber. We believe children should learn to make their own choices and develop into independent, social youngsters at their own pace. Our qualified pedagogical staff guide them and set individual boundaries in consultation with parents. In short, BSO Okidoki gives school-age children a safe and stimulating place to spend their free time after a busy school day, while parents can work or study with peace of mind.

Summary

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced incidental inspection at after-school care (BSO) Okidoki in Bergschenhoek on 28 November 2025. The provider, Stichting Humankind, submitted an application to increase the number of childcare places from 30 to 44. The inspection assessed whether this expansion is possible within the legal framework. All assessed quality requirements (pedagogical policy, safety and health policy, and space requirements) were found to be in order. The indoor and outdoor play spaces meet the standards for 44 childcare places. The provider has carried out a risk assessment for the additional group room being brought into use. The GGD advises the municipality of Lansingerland to grant the change, with effect from 15 February 2026, as part of the central hall fitting is due for delivery in mid-February.
