About this care
We are De Blokkendoos, a small-scale daycare centre located at Prelaat van den Bergplein 10 in Lithoijen. For almost 25 years we have been providing loving and professional care to children aged 0 to 4. In a homely atmosphere, where personal contact is key, every child quickly feels at home.
Our location is surrounded by peace and space, allowing children to play and explore in a natural environment. We work with fixed staff in each group, so a familiar bond develops between child and caregiver. Learning through play is central to our approach. That is why we use the VVE programme ‘Uk en Puk’, which stimulates your child’s language development and other skills while preparing them for primary school.
We offer flexible childcare options, both full and half days, tailored to your family’s needs. Our garden provides plenty of space to play outside and discover the world. We stand for a green, healthy and safe environment where your child can develop at their own pace.

Summary
GGD Hart voor Brabant conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 21 May 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Blokkendoos in Lithoijen. The location, part of De Blokkendoos B.V., provides care for up to 36 children aged 0 to 4 years and is subsidised for early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie). All assessed quality requirements were met: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and parental rights. The pedagogical practice demonstrated strong language stimulation, clear boundaries and safe supervision. Early childhood education is provided through Uk & Puk 2.0 with sufficient hours and qualified staff. There were no violations, no areas for improvement and no recovery offer (herstelaanbod) was needed. The parent committee is satisfied. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises no enforcement action.
