About this care
Childcare De scharrelkids is a small-scale daycare center located at Leidijk 15a in Kamperveen. We provide care for up to 30 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our daycare is situated in a quiet, rural environment where children have the space to develop at their own pace.
At De scharrelkids, a safe and trusted environment is central. We require a minimum attendance of 1 day per week, with each session lasting at least 5 hours. The morning session runs from 6:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the afternoon session from 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Parents can choose between a 40-week or 51-week contract, with no childcare during school holidays in the 40-week option.
Our childcare is accessible to every child and we value personal attention highly. During the placement interview, we extensively discuss the specific wishes and needs of your child so we can optimally tailor the care to your family situation. We operate according to the legal requirements for childcare and all our staff have a Certificate of Good Conduct.

Summary
The annual inspection conducted on 5 March 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Scharrelkids in Kamperveen presents a predominantly positive picture. The location, a small-scale Christian childcare facility on a farm with 30 child places, complies with the law regarding pedagogical climate and staff and groups. However, shortcomings were identified in the area of safety and health. Staff did not fully comply with the 'Safe Sleeping' protocol: bedroom temperatures were not measured (the new baby monitor lacked this function), windows were closed without ventilation, and a child was sleeping with the door closed. The safety policy also omitted risks associated with loose cords, such as Christmas lights and a baby monitor cord within children's reach. The operator was issued a recovery offer with a deadline of 30 March 2026. Upon inspection on 30 March, all issues were found to be resolved: thermometers and CO2 meters have been installed, the protocol has been amended and discussed, and hazardous cords have been removed. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
