Located in the heart of Ussen, KDV Polderhof 1 welcomes children from 0 to 4 years. From the very first meeting we look at what your child needs and select a group that suits your child. Children play with peers of about the same age, allowing them to connect within the same world of experience and developmental stage.
We love to play outside and have a sensory path and a sandbox that the children use a lot. Going out is a regular activity: walking in the park or a trip to the Ussenhuis are favourites. At this VVE location we stimulate developmental stages through the Piramide programme, which contributes to broad development and well-being. Your child’s development is recorded using the KIJK! method.
KDV Polderhof 1 and primary school De Polderhof are located on the same site; primary school De Lockaert is just a stone’s throw away. We offer toddler and preschool gym in collaboration with De Polderhof and De Lockaert primary schools. Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Polderhof 1 in Oss, part of AVEM Kinderopvang, was inspected on 21 April 2026 by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hart voor Brabant. The location provides day care for 48 children aged 0 to 4 years in three core groups. The location meets quality requirements on most aspects, including pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and keeping the safety policy up to date. However, a violation was identified in the area of safety and health: acting in accordance with policy. Staff did not adhere to the hygiene protocol (long nails, jewellery during high-risk activities, not washing hands before meals) and sometimes only one childcare professional was present between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m., whereas the policy stipulates that working with a single professional is never permitted. Due to recurrence (previous recovery offer in August 2024 for similar shortcomings), no recovery offer was provided this time. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality of Oss to enforce.
