About this care
Welcome to Partou Bengel! Our small-scale and cozy daycare center is located at Gabriël Metzustraat 4B in the friendly Groenoord neighborhood in Leiden-Noord. In our colorful building, children aged 0 to 4 can play, discover and learn to their heart's content. We work with three vertical groups where children of different ages grow up together.
Our spacious, green outdoor area with a sheltered baby garden is a true playground paradise. Children can build towers in our sandbox, plant and harvest vegetables together in our vegetable garden, or simply enjoy romping around in nature. Every day we serve a fresh, hot lunch and healthy snacks. We believe it's important that children feel safe and secure with us, so they can develop optimally.
Location manager Sabine van Kroonwijk and our young, enthusiastic team are ready every day to give the children a wonderful day. We use the Partou app which keeps parents informed of all their child's milestones and fun moments. The annual inspection by GGD Hollands Midden on 16 June 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Bengel in Leiden shows that the location meets all assessed quality requirements. The location of Smallsteps B.V. offers 48 childcare places across a baby group, toddler group, and vertical core group. All examined domains – pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health – were found to be satisfactory. Staff members are well trained, meet the language proficiency requirement, and hold valid certificates of conduct (verklaring omtrent het gedrag, VOG). The staff-to-child ratio was in order. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The holder indicated in their response that they will continue to safeguard quality.
