Kinderdagverblijf Luna is an active daycare centre in Heerhugowaard, located at Oosttangent 4. Housed in the modern My HealthClub building, we provide care for up to 48 children aged 0–4 years. The children have their own spacious, bright rooms that open directly onto a natural outdoor playground. Indoors you will find both a quiet sensory corner for the youngest and challenging play areas for toddlers. Movement and discovery are at the heart of our programme: we regularly explore the adjacent Park van Luna, where children can run wild, experience nature and develop their motor skills. Summary
On 1 July 2026, the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hollands Noorden conducted an unannounced incidental investigation at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Luna in Heerhugowaard. The investigation was carried out following a change request to reduce the number of childcare places from 48 to 32. The inspection consisted of document review and an interview with the location manager. All assessed conditions have been met. The location has a history of violations related to information provision, safety and health policy, and pedagogical policy, but these have been resolved in all cases following recovery offers or formal directions. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement measures.
