Kinderdagverblijf De Kleine Zeester is located at Sieg vaz Diasstraat 2 in Amsterdam’s Geuzenveld-Slotermeer district. We have deliberately chosen to operate a single site so that all our attention and energy go to this one location. Management is on-site every day, giving parents immediate, personal answers to any questions. Contact is informal and low-threshold; we want to keep that sense of directness and familiarity. We run five core groups that match your child’s stage of development. The baby group welcomes children from 0 to 2 years. Toddlers are cared for in a group for 1 to 2.5 years and a toddler–preschool group for 1 to 3 years. In addition, we offer two Early Childhood Education (VVE) preschool groups for children aged 2 to 4. This structure allows every child to play, sleep and explore in a familiar setting with peers of the same age. We believe it is important for parents and children to feel at home. That is why we keep our childcare small-scale and homely. Our pedagogical staff know each child and family personally, enabling us to respond to individual needs. Through this approach we create a safe foundation in which children can develop freely and parents can leave their child with peace of mind.
