This inspection report concerns an unannounced incidental investigation at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Bloom in Alkmaar. The inspection focused specifically on the safety and health policy, particularly temperature regulation in the group rooms and bedrooms. This was in response to a point of attention identified during the annual inspection of February 2026. The location has since installed a new ventilation system in the Bloesem core group and portable air conditioning units in both core groups. Temperatures in the Bloesem bedrooms remain slightly above the standard, but this is explainable due to two heat waves and RIVM guidance on temperature differentials.
