About this care
Welcome to Partou Kiekus! Our after-school care is located at Berkenstraat 2E in Stadskanaal. As soon as the school bell rings, our pedagogical staff are ready to safely bring children from Oranje Nassauschool, Willibrord-School, CBS Maarsborg, Hagenhof-School, SBO De Baldakijn, Noorderlicht, CBS De Mozaïek, Meester Neuteboomschool, De Oleander and CBS Anne de Vriesschool to the BSO. For safety and recognition, children wear reflective vests.
In our large grass garden with exciting paths and challenging willow huts, children run, climb and race to their heart's content. There is always room for a game of football or hockey. "Another match?" everyone shouts enthusiastically. We also offer extra games and activities that stimulate (language) development. In our modern play and sports hall, children can let off steam and discover what they enjoy. From crafting to cooking, there is always something to experience.
Every child deserves a strong start in an environment where they feel safe and seen. With our six building blocks, our pedagogical professionals help children grow playfully and gain new experiences. This way, they develop resilience and self-confidence for the future. Parents stay informed through our own app, where we share photos and messages.

Strengths
- Staff and groups: all childcare professionals, interns, and regular attendees hold valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) declarations and are correctly registered in the childcare personnel register
- Parent rights: complaints procedure and annual complaints report meet statutory requirements; the licence holder is affiliated with a recognised disputes committee

Summary
GGD Groningen conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 29 January 2026 at after-school care (BSO) Kindercentrum Kiekus in Stadskanaal. The location provides care for three groups with a maximum of 72 children. The statutory requirements were met for the topics of staff and groups and parent rights. A violation was identified regarding the pedagogical climate: practice deviated from the pedagogical policy in the location guide. The Sport group was unexpectedly closed on the day of inspection, and the arrival and meal times were chaotic, whereas the guide describes a joint, calm moment at the table. The licence holder provided a recovery offer: following consultation with the pedagogical coach, agreements were made with the team on 3 March 2026, the working method has been adjusted, and the location guide is being revised. These adjustments will be evaluated after three months. The GGD advises enforcement in accordance with policy.
