The annual inspection of 10 March 2026 at after-school care (BSO) CK de Herberg Prinsentuin in Stadskanaal shows a positive picture. The location, housed in CBS het Noorderlicht, provides care for up to 11 children (ages 4–12) with capacity for expansion to 30 places. All assessed domains meet statutory requirements: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, accommodation, and parental rights. The pedagogical practice shows that children feel emotionally safe, personal and social competencies are being developed, and clear rules apply. At the previous inspection in May 2025, there were shortcomings in the deployment of the pedagogical policy worker and information on the website; both have since been resolved through a recovery offer.
