Kindcentrum De Veste (formerly De Schutsluis) is located at Juliana van Stolbergstraat 1 in the centre of Blokzijl. Under the umbrella of Accrete, we combine Christian primary education and childcare for children aged 0–13. Our daycare section caters specifically to babies and toddlers (0–4 years). Our qualified pedagogical staff follow Early Childhood Education programmes, focusing on language, motor skills and social development through play. The group rooms are designed to feel both professional and homely, so every child feels at ease. Children have access to a large green playground. Safety is ensured through an up-to-date policy, first aid certificate, safe premises, and a domestic violence reporting protocol. Parent participation is arranged through a combined parent committee and a complaints procedure. There were no complaints in 2024.
