Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Mini & Maxi on Michelangelostraat in Rotterdam was inspected unannounced on 14 January 2025. The annual investigation shows that the childcare meets the statutory quality requirements on almost all assessed points. The pedagogical practice is good: children experience emotional safety, are offered developmentally appropriate activities, and learn social skills. The team is qualified, staffing ratios are correct, and the safety and health policy is up-to-date and adhered to. There was one violation: not all staff members were familiar with the mandatory reporting, consultation, and disclosure obligations regarding suspected child abuse by colleagues or the holder. Following a recovery offer, the location organized additional information sessions and team discussions within ten working days; the violation has thereby been resolved. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality not to impose an enforcement measure.
