About this care
KDV De Pettenvlet aan Zee is located in the charming coastal village of Petten, close to forest, dunes and beach. We provide daycare for children aged 0 to 4 in a homely, safe environment with qualified, permanent pedagogical staff. Children and parents are at the heart of everything we do; we work in a customer-oriented, flexible way and quality comes first. The most important thing is that your child feels comfortable and has a great day.
Our horizontal groups are carefully designed to meet the developmental needs of babies and toddlers. We offer Early Childhood Education (ECE) and have been Uk&Puk certified since June 2014. Every day we cook a fresh hot meal and provide bread, fruit, snacks and drinks. Diapers and care products are included, as well as cuddly toys for extra comfort. The spacious garden and playground invite outdoor play and nature experiences.
We are open 52 weeks a year, Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (extended care from 6:30 AM available on request). Through our parent app you can easily book, cancel or swap days and report holidays. Feel free to drop by for a tour or contact us for more information.Read more

Summary
The GGD annual inspection of 9 June 2026 shows that daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Pettenvlet aan Zee in Petten meets all assessed quality requirements. The childcare facility offers places for 64 children aged 0-4 years in three core groups and provides early childhood education through the Uk & Puk programme. The pedagogical policy is visible in practice, staff are sufficiently qualified, and staff-child ratios are adhered to. Safety, health, the domestic violence reporting code, and parental rights are carefully arranged. There is a combined parent committee with the adjacent after-school care (BSO). In the preceding years 2024 and 2025, violations were identified that were lifted following a recovery offer; no violations or areas for improvement were identified in this inspection.
