About this care
Hummeltjeshoek Daycare is located on a quiet street at van Halewijnlaan 144 in Voorburg and has been providing small-scale childcare for children aged 0 to 4 since 1993. We operate as one vertical group with a maximum of 16 children, creating a homely and familiar atmosphere in which every child feels safe.
All our pedagogical staff are qualified to at least SPW level 3 and deliver professional, loving care. Together with parents and carers we focus on stimulating each child’s independence, helping them become more self-reliant and confident. We value parental involvement and consult regularly about every child’s development.
Because of our limited size we can give each child the individual attention they deserve. We offer a calm environment where children can play, sleep and grow at their own pace. Spontaneous activities are encouraged and we follow the children’s natural daily rhythm. Outdoor play is part of the programme, alongside structure and recognisable routines.
Hummeltjeshoek Daycare is an independent sole proprietorship registered under Chamber of Commerce number 64259013 and listed in the National Childcare Register (LRK 138069797) since 3 September 2010, allowing parents to apply for childcare allowance. Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Hum m eltjeshoek in Voorburg provides small-scale care for up to 16 children aged 0–4 years. During an unannounced incidental inspection visit on 9 October 2025, the Municipal Health Service (GGD) identified one violation: the deployment of a professional staff member in training without a signed supervision plan by the student, practical supervisor, and training supervisor. The educational institution refused to cooperate with signing, as a result of which the location did not comply with collective labour agreement (cao) conditions. Furthermore, all staff were correctly registered in the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang/PRK) and held the correct qualifications, including the mandatory IKK language proficiency requirement and training for working with 0-year-olds. The staff-to-child ratio (beroepskracht-kindratio/BKR) was in order. The GGD advises the municipality to enforce in accordance with the enforcement policy.
