About this care
SKSG Doremi is situated at Haydnlaan 2 in the Helpman district of Groningen. We provide daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years and also run a dedicated playgroup for toddlers aged 2 to 4. The centre has seven groups, organised in horizontal age groups so babies, toddlers and preschoolers each have their own space tailored to their developmental stage.
Our standout feature is the vast natural discovery garden that embraces the building. This woodland-style green oasis offers endless outdoor play opportunities. Babies relax in their own baby garden while toddlers ride trikes, build sandcastles or swing together. Regular themed picnics and activities make the garden an integral part of every day.
We believe every child should be free to be themselves. Our qualified staff observe and listen closely so they know when to encourage, when to challenge and when to step back. From the earliest age we practise respect for one another and for nature. All 2- to 4-year-olds take part in our early-years education programme (VVE), ensuring a playful yet structured preparation for the next phase of learning.

Summary
GGD Groningen conducted an unannounced incidental inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) SKSG Dorem i in Groningen on 10 June 2026. The inspection was prompted by an application to register early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) in the National Childcare Register. The inspector assessed the amendment registration and the preparations for early childhood education. All assessed components met the legal requirements. The daycare center provides care for 100 children across six groups (0-2 years, 0-4 years and 2-4 years) and has a spacious green outdoor play area. The VE programme Startblokken is used. The staff members are qualified and have attained at least level 3F for oral language skills and reading. The deployment of a pedagogical policy staff member is planned for coaching and policy implementation; this assessment will take place in 2027 as the location starts VE in 2026.
